43-year-old man charged with being a gang member

By BBN Staff: A 43-year-old Belize City man is on remand at the Belize City Central Prison after being charged with being a member of a criminal gang.

Jason Brown appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, charged with being a member of the Bloods gang.

Brown pleaded not guilty but was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until October 13, 2021.

Professing to be a member of a criminal gang is an offense under the Сrіmе Соntrоl аnd Сrіmіnаl Јuѕtісе Асt
