Over 2,000 more people vaccinated as efforts continue countrywide

By Benjamin Flowers: The latest vaccination report issued from the Ministry of Health and Wellness, shows that over 2,000 people received their shots in the latest round of vaccinations.

The number of people receiving shots as of August 12, 2021, was 2,332. This includes those who received the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines.

Total vaccinations countrywide have gone up to 145,750, while the number of fully vaccinated people (those who have received two vaccine doses) has gone up to 59,379.

The MOHW says that all Belizeans 18 years and older can be vaccinated and encourages them to make an appointment to do so at https://vrsa.health.gov.bz/

Vaccinated persons are still required by law to wear face masks in public, social distance, and abide by all other regulations in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
