By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Colombian Heberth Gutiérrez won the U-23 Pan American Road Cycling Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on Saturday.
Gutiérrez won the 87.5-mile race in 3 hours, 1 minute and 28 seconds at a speed of 28.93 miles per hour among a field of 15 riders.
Belizean Joshua Fuller rode in 22nd 8 seconds behind. The other Belizeans, Eric Trapp was 30th, 20 seconds behind and Gian Lino was 61st riding in 5 minute and 51 seconds behind.
So, far at Santo Domingo, Kaya Cattouse won a silver medal and Oscar Quiroz won two bronze medals in the Caribbean Cycling Championships which were held ahead of the Pan American Championships.
