Rowdy dominoes game leads to apparent murder

By Aaron Humes: Twenty-four-year-old Edward Westby was stabbed to death early this morning in Belize City after an altercation at his apartment.

According to police, Westby and other tenants of the Campus Avenue Apartments, West Landivar, were socializing and playing dominoes during curfew hours when one Shane Bradley, 35, a boat captain began to show disorderly behavior and was asked to leave the premises.

Bradley left and returned and was taken back to his residence, but he returned a second time, armed with a knife, which he used to stab Westby. Bradley was quickly detained but Westby, taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, died of his injuries.

Police continue to investigate.
