The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) has warned that today will be a hot day with some reprieve from the heat expected later tonight.
The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies today and partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight along with isolated showers and thunderstorms.
“Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and to avoid outdoor activity as much as possible,” the Met Service said.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 92 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 98 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be blowing Southeast between 05-10 knots and the sea state will be slight.
Low tide will occur at 9:51 a.m. and high tide will come in at 3:56 p.m.
The sun will set at 6:18 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 12:09 p.m.
