By BBN Staff: Police are seeking a man they believe to be the prime suspect in connection with the stabbing death of 30-year-old William Pook last week.
Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvett, said that Pook had reportedly owed some money to a man who had threatened to kill him just two days before his body was found in some bushes in the Costa Rica extension San Martin area of Belmopan with stab wounds to his body.
Despite knowing of the threats, Pook did not file an official report with police.
Myvett said that the prime suspect is known and would be apprehended in short order.
Police believe that the incident has sparked retaliatory violence within Belmopan.
