By Aaron Humes: Active cases of COVID-19 increased by a net 24 with 74 new cases and 50 recoveries according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The total number of active cases is 794, with 354 newly under investigation.

16 persons are hospitalized due to the virus and six are in intensive care, but no new deaths have been reported.

The spike in cases has brought the national recovery rate down to 92 percent, a little more than 14 thousand. About 7.8 percent of all Belizeans have caught COVID-19 over the last year and 2.3 percent or 347 have died.
