Belize Water Services temporarily closes Punta Gorda branch as staff member tests positive for COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Belize Water Services Limited (BWS) announced that its Punta Gorda office will be closed temporarily as of today, August 18, 2021, due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 infection from within the office staff.

BWS also noted that several other staff members have exhibited flu-like symptoms, as such the office is currently being deep cleaned and sanitized.

The office is expected to reopen on Thursday, August 19, during normal business hours.

“In the meantime, payments can be made through the online banking services and customer service requests can be submitted by Whatsapp, Email, and Facebook,” BWS said.

The company also said that it is continuously following all COVID-19 prevention guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and pleaded with customers to do the same.
