By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says while it will be hot today, the rest of the week should see more moist and unstable conditions.
Skies will be mostly sunny today with isolated showers and thunderstorms except for a few more over the north and century this morning and in the south tonight.
High temperatures are 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 98 degrees in inland areas, and 82 in the hills. Tonight, expect 78 degrees along the coast, 72 inland, and 68 in the hills. A heat alert is in effect and a small craft warning is expected later tonight.
Winds are from the north to northeast at 0 to 10 knots; the sea state is light chop.
Low tide is at 1:35 this afternoon followed by a high tide at 8:02 this evening. Sunset is at 6:16 this evening and sunrise on Thursday is at 5:36 in the morning.
Most of the country will see showers and thunderstorms on Thursday.
