Amalia Mai: Donation reinforces America’s commitment

By Aaron Humes: Even as we are reminded of how closer we are as a result of the pandemic, yet separated physically, CEO Amalia Mai explained, we have come to understand how important it is that we work together to defeat it.

The donation of 345,000 vaccine doses of Pfizer vaccine was worked out between then-chairman of CARICOM Keith Rowley and the U.S. Government led by President Joe Biden as part of a wider 5.5 million donation.

It is another demonstration of the support provided by the U.S., which previously donated an ultra-low temperature freezer for the storage of this particular vaccine that requires it.
