By Rubén Morales Iglesias: “Amid the surging variants and COVID-19 cases in the country, the Management of Kukumba Beach will require all entering adults to either show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, effective August 28, 2021,” said Old Belize on Facebook.
“We make this decision in the interest of public safety: your health, and that of our staff, remains our number one priority.”
Old Belize is located at Mile 5 on the George Price Highway.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Old Belize only has the Kukumba Beach area open to the public.
The Facebook post said that on arrival, customers will be asked to present a valid form of ID along with their vaccination cards. IDs are Social Security card, Driver’s License, or Passport.
“Together, we are stronger. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!” said Old Belize.
