By Aaron Humes: According to Minister Michel Chebat, distribution of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines begins on Monday countrywide.
This first of three tranches of more than 111 thousand doses will be reserved for children between 12 and 17, meaning those who may prefer this vaccine will have to wait a bit.
But hopefully not too long, as two more tranches are on the way in weeks to fulfill the full allocation.
Responding to questions of effectiveness and parents’ views, CDA Moses-Ones noted that she has a 12-year old daughter and had to weigh vaccinating her. But she emphasized that all of the science makes clear that vaccination with this vaccine protects children despite the relatively few cases among children.
