Restaurant owner held after shooting

By Aaron Humes: The owner of Yenidio Restaurant at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Iguana Street, 32-year-old Yuhuan Yang, has been held by the police pending investigation of a shooting at the establishment on Wednesday night.

Police say Yang was closing up the restaurant after eight p.m. when someone grabbed the door handle. They struggled and Yang allegedly shot the person, 33-year-old Dennis Molina, with his licensed 9-millimeter Glock pistol. It is not clear what were Molina’s intentions.

Molina has been hospitalized with a wound to the abdomen and is listed in critical condition in the operating theater.

Police continue their investigations.
