Belize Weather: Remnants of Grace still impacting country

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says moist and unstable conditions from the aftermath of Hurricane Grace linger over our area.

There will be cloudy spells today with showers and thunderstorms over most areas today and in the south tonight.

High temperatures are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 90 degrees inland, and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures are 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 74 inland, and 68 in the hills.

Winds will be east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is moderate to rough. A small craft caution remains in effect for coastal waters.

Tides will be high at 7:55 this morning and 9:29 tonight and low at 3:21 this afternoon. The sun sets at quarter past six this evening and rises at 5:36 a.m. Saturday.

Saturday sees isolated showers and thunderstorms countrywide with a few more developing over the south in the nighttime.
