Posted: Monday, August 23, 2021. 6:17 am CST.

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says lingering moist and unstable conditions will support cloudy spells with showers, isolated thunderstorms, and periods of rain this morning, decreasing this afternoon before returning over the south and coast tonight.

High temperatures are 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 88 degrees inland, and 79 degrees in the hills. Tonight, temperatures fall to 79 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland, and 65 degrees in the hills. There is the possibility of flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas, especially over the Toledo district.

Winds are from the east at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is moderate.

Tides will be high at 10:23 this morning and 11:09 this evening and low at 5:16 this evening. The sun sets at 6:13 this evening and rises at 5:37 Tuesday morning.

A few showers and thunderstorms will affect the south and coast on Tuesday.
