Fisherman recovers stolen boat, engine still missing

By BBN Staff: A Belize City fisherman, robbed of his boat over the weekend is still on the hunt for his outboard engine.

Jairo Sedacey reported to police that that between the hours of 5:00 pm Saturday 21 August 2021 and 10:00 am Sunday 22 August 2021 someone stole his 25-foot boat bearing the name Lea & Jen.

The boat was later recovered, however, it was missing the Yamaha Brand Outboard Motor Engine E40XMHL with serial number 66TX-1223770. The boat engine is valued at $8,300.00.

Police are investigating.
