Ministry of Health and Wellness warns of fake message regarding COVID-19 relief funds being circulated

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health & Wellness issued a warning today that there is a fake message being circulated via social media regarding access to funding for COVID-19 relief.

The MOHW urged the public to disregard a message that reads the following “Apply for the Covid-19 Relief Fund Provided by the Federal Government. Hurry Up, It takes few seconds to apply. Don’t miss this opportunity,” as it is not an official correspondence from the Government of Belize.

The MOHW also noted that COVID-19 positive patients continue to receive support through its Food Assistance Program, which provides a one-time food package with basic food items to assist families.
