COVID-19 vaccination for persons 12 to 17 in Benque, San Jose Succotz

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness said vaccination is continuing in the San Ignacio area.

The vaccination is for all persons 12 to 17 is from 8:30 am to 2 pm on according to the following schedule.

Wednesday, September 1

Mopan Technical High School in Benque Viejo del Carmen

Thursday, September 2

Alvin Young Nazarene High School in San Jose Succotz

Friday, September 3

Mopan Technical High School in Benque Viejo del Carmen

The Ministry of Health and Wellness said it encourages all parents and legal guardians to have their children vaccinated.

The Ministry says the Pfizer vaccine is given in two doses, 21 days apart.

A signed consent from parents or guardians is required for the children to be administered the vaccine.

The children are required to present a valid ID, preferably a Social Security Board card.

The Ministry also said that the children should have breakfast or lunch and they should also be well hydrated before getting the vaccine.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health also said the vaccine is for all children 12-17, so those who are not in school are also welcome to take the vaccine. They should call or ‘WhatsApp 613-0787.
