Stann Creek District experiencing planned power outage

By BBN Staff: Power went out in several villages in the Stann Creek District this morning in a planned power outage by Belize Electricity Limited (BEL).

The outage began at 8:00 a.m. and affected Silk Grass, Hopkins, Sittee, Kendal, Maya Center and Riverdale.

Power is scheduled to return at 10:30 a.m.

“BEL to replace broken utility pole caused by traffic accident, install utility pole to facilitate connection of customer in the area and to remove hazardous vegetation growing into power lines in the area,” BEL said.
