Health authorities confirm 200 new cases of COVID-19 over three-day span

By Benjamin Flowers: A total of 200 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ latest COVID-19 update for the period September 4-6.

The Ministry’s report shows that 200 new cases were detected from among a total of 3,677 tests.

There were 107 new female infections and 93 newly infected males.

The country’s national total for infections has reached 16,950, while the daily positivity rate stood at 5.63.

The Belize district has once again risen as the major hotspot for infection in the country, representing 81 of the total infections for the three-day period, 61 of which were from Belize City.
