Joel ‘Dara’ Robinson pleads for assistance to fix broken up road to farm

By Aaron Humes: He’s become known for his feeding program on the Northside of Belize City which has now been unfortunately shuttered – more on that in a separate story.

This evening Joel “Dara” Robinson reached out with an urgent plea to get authorities to try to address his access to his remote farmland in the vicinity of Hillbank, Orange Walk District, opposite Rancho Dolores, Belize District.

According to Robinson, logging companies in the area, at least seven, have promised that after three months of activity they would see to it that the road in was repaired.

But it has not, and the inconvenience leaves Robinson having to walk two miles in to his farm to take animal feed and supplies for his workers, as he does twice a week.

Robinson does not know where to turn and he just wants authorities to pay attention and give him a way to continue farming. Who knows – it may prove to bring about the revival of Dara’s Feeding Program, which hopefully temporary demise we shall tell you about in a separate story.
