By Aaron Humes: 31-year-old Nicole Baptist, whose life was dedicated to serving others in various capacities is being remembered after dying from COVID-19 this weekend. She was the Manager of Paulino’s Funeral Home at the time of her passing.
Baptist was pregnant and delivered her child who did not survive earlier this week before passing on herself on Sunday, leaving behind a 12-year-old daughter. Her family has previously lost two members to COVID-19.
The virus interrupted and ultimately dashed all Baptist’s plans and dreams: becoming a doctor, becoming a wife (she was engaged to be married), and becoming a mom for the second time.
According to Paulino’s Funeral Home “Miss Nicole better known around the office as Miss Nic was a hardworking, kind sweet soul. She made sure every customer needs were met as she loved what she did. Her kind, loving, jovial personality made her fun to be around and to work with.”
The Funeral Home says that Baptist created and left an inprint in their hearts that she “will never be forgotten.”
May she and all other COVID-19 victims rest in peace.
