By Benjamin Flowers: Belize has seen the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths in weeks, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The latest COVID-19 daily report shows that five more Belizeans have lost the battle against the virus.

The new deaths were split between one female and four males, bringing the national total for deaths to 369.

Deaths related to the virus are now split between 133 females and 236 males.

Belize’s fatality rate has also been adjusted to 2.16.

The highest single-day death toll was three new deaths reported in mid-August.
