By BBN Staff: More than 1,300 Belizeans are infected with COVID-19 right now, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
The MOHW’s data shows 1,359 active infections countrywide, split between 691 females and 668 males.
Health authorities also have an additional 303 suspected cases under investigation.
Hospitalized patients due to the virus are also nearing 40, with 37 patients receiving care in standard COVID-19 units across the country, and seven patients receiving critical care in an intensive care unit (ICU).
There were 86 new recoveries from COVID-19 bringing the national total for recoveries up to 15,651.
The national recovery rate was adjusted to 89.9.
