COVID cases continue to spike, over 150 new infections reported

By BBN Staff: Over the past few weeks, newly reported COVID-19 cases have consistently been in the triple digits; that trend continues today, with over 150 new infections reported by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The latest daily COVID-19 report shows 154 new infections detected from a sample batch of 1,404 tests.

New cases were split between 81 females and 73 males.

The country’s national total for infections has reached 17,405, while the daily positivity rate stood at 11.2.

The Belize District continues to lead in newly reported cases, representing 64 of the latest cases, 50 of which were from Belize City.
