By Benjamin Flowers: Following the Government of Belize’s decision to mandate that people entering public buildings must show either a vaccination card or negative COVID-19 test, Leader of the Opposition, Moses “Shyne” Barrow, has come out to say he supports the decision.

Barrow took to Facebook this morning noting that the move would mean that the curfew imposed to prevent the spread of the virus under the current regulations could then be lifted.

“I support the Government’s decision to require vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests to enter public buildings. Now lift the curfew! COVID-19 does not come out from 9pm-4am. With the new requirement of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests to enter public spaces, there is absolutely no need for a curfew!” Barrow said.

He called on all Belizeans to get vaccinated to help end the curfew and the pandemic.
