Prime Minister Briceno Departs the Country

By BBN Staff: The Office of the Prime Minister issued a statement a short while ago informing the public that Prime Minister John Briceño departed the country today, September 9, 2021.

During his absence, Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum, and Mining, will act as Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Economic Development, and Investment.

The Prime Minister is expected to return to Belize on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
