By Aaron Humes: Toronto Sun columnist Brad Hunter reports that the twin children of Canadian socialite Jasmine Hartin ‘have now been whisked out of the country of Belize, leaving her abandoned, alone, and fearful.

Hartin and common-law partner Andrew Ashcroft were scheduled to be in court this week in their child custody battle but such matters are not typically reported on due to children’s privacy laws.

Hunter further reports that except for her mother Candice Castiglione and her immediate siblings, Jasmine is now being doubted even by family members in the wake of the death of Police Senior Superintendent Henry Jemmott in May and the subsequent alleged assault of a hotel worker while seeking to visit her children a few days later.

Hartin is out on bail on separate charges of manslaughter by negligence, common assault, and possession of a minute amount of cocaine and is due back in court in October.
