200 new cases of COVID-19 reported countrywide; active cases pass 1,400

By Aaron Humes: Data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness shows 200 new cases of COVID-19 reported today, Tuesday, countrywide.

157 persons were reported recovered meaning the number of active cases increased by 43 to 1,419.

Another death was reported increasing that total to 383.

317 samples are under investigation.

39 persons remain actively hospitalized including at least two dozen at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and ten in intensive care.

Belizeans are reminded to continue observing the social protocols and to consider getting vaccinated.
