Police make official arrest in robbery at Jacky’s Superstore in 8-miles where one robber was killed

By BBN Staff: Today, the Belize Police Department officially charged a man for a robbery that happened in Western Paradise Village, 8-miles on the George Price Highway back in July.

Tyler Ramclam, a villager of western paradise, was charged with two counts of robbery and one count of wounding with respect to the July 22 armed robbery of Jacky’s Superstore and Fastfood.

Ramclam was one of four men who entered the store around 9:15 a.m. and rоbbеd thе ѕtоrе оf аn undіѕсlоѕеd аmоunt оf саѕh, then went into the kitchen and hеld 42-уеаr-оld Сhu Rоng Zhаng аt gunроіnt,tооk hіѕ wаllеt, then bashed hin on the head knocking him out momentarily before making their escape.

Zhang then regained consciousness, took his licensed shotgun, and opened fire at the fleeing culprits, killing 19-year-old Belize city resident Ashton Samuels on the spot and injuring Ramclam to the left calf.
