Belize Weather: Fair weather gives way to increased showers overnight

By Aaron Humes: Mostly fair weather in the daytime will give way to a slight increase in showers tonight according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies will be sunny with cloudy spells today and isolated showers and afternoon thunderstorms inland, then cloudy tonight with showers over most areas and isolated thunderstorms.

High temperatures are 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 94 degrees in inland areas, and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight it will be 82 degrees along the coast, 74 degrees inland, and 68 in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 5 to 15 knots and the sea state is light chop.

Tides will be low at 1:26 this afternoon then high at 7:45 this evening. The sun sets at 5:53 this evening and rises at 5:40 a.m. Friday.

For Friday and Friday night, mainly fair weather in the daytime and isolated showers, then a few showers and isolated thunderstorms in the south on Friday night.
