Dr Julio Sabido: New measures to avert projected increase in cases

By Aaron Humes: Representative of the Ministry of Health and Wellness Dr. Julio Sabido is outlining the reasons for the tightening of measures against COVID-19.

The hope is to avert increased cases, hospitalizations, and deaths above the current figures. The staff especially at Karl Heusner are “tired” and need relief.

Curfew starting September 19 is 7 pm to 4 am daily and restaurants are limited to takeout except for San Pedro, Caye Caulker, Placencia, and Hopkins.

No movement is permitted on Sundays September 26 and October 3 except for production, medical attention, and emergency buying, and airport travel.

Dr. Sabido reminded that police can stop and question persons as to why they are moving.
