Oscar Mira: ‘We witness what we can accomplish when we work together’

By Aaron Humes: The setup and assembly of the new field hospital donated by the U.S. Embassy is good exercise for Belize’s military forces, the Defence Force, and Coast Guard, said Minister of State for National Defence and Border Security, Oscar Mira.

The Belmopan area representative noted that the self-contained unit holds 40 beds, toilets, and a generator.

The military will be able to take apart and set up the field hospital anywhere at any time.

Mira thanked his U.S. counterparts for the valuable lessons learned and resources secured in this exercise.
