By Aaron Humes: If you had any plans to travel to Germany anytime soon, COVID-19 may well scupper them.
According to Schengen Visa Info, Belize is on a list of countries that starting on Sunday, September 19, whose nationals face stricter entry restrictions when traveling to Germany due to particularly high incidences of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus in the past days. Other countries in the region added are Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, and Venezuela.
To enter, fill out the digital entry form at einreiseanmeldung.de and to carry the confirmation they have received with them upon entry, must have a test, vaccination, or recovery certificate with them and, in the event that a carrier is used, present the proof for the purpose of the transport. Travelers who have stayed in a high-risk area should isolate upon arrival for a period of ten days. The period of quarantine, however, can be ended prematurely if proof of recovery, a vaccination certificate, or a negative test certificate is submitted via einreiseanmeldung.de.
For those who provide proof of recovery or vaccination immediately upon arrival, the same won’t have to quarantine. However, those who chose testing against COVID-19 as a way to end quarantine prematurely cannot do so before the fifth day of isolation.
