Second Cuban medical brigade arrives in Belize

By Aaron Humes: On Friday, the Ministry of Health and Wellness welcomed the second group of Cuban Collaborators from the Cuban Medical Brigade to Belize. The group was welcomed by the Deputy Director of Health Services in Nursing, Ms. Lizett Bell, along with the International Affairs Officer, Ms. Dianie Ek.

A total of 36 collaborators arrived this week. They will be deployed across all our health regions and at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital to support in our Covid-19 response efforts.

The Ministry extends its appreciation to the Government and the people of the Republic of Cuba. This group succeeds another that came to Belize in 2020, belonging to the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade.
