By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says generally fair weather prevails but conditions will become slightly moister entering Independence Day.
Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells. Showers will affect most areas with isolated thunderstorms then become isolated this afternoon. Tonight, expect cloudy skies at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms developing mainly over coastal areas.
High temperatures are 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees inland, and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 74 degrees inland, and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds are from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots and the sea state is slight.
Tides will be high at 9:31 this morning and 9:58 this evening and low at 4:05 this afternoon. The sun sets at ten minutes to six this evening and rises at 5:41 Tuesday morning.
Similar weather conditions are expected on Independence Day Tuesday.
