By BBN Staff: Police say that a Sandhill Village car dealer shot an aggressive customer on Sunday after the man issued death threats.
Director of Communications for the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Fitzroy Yearwood said that Albert Vaccaro, 36, told police he was at his home when one Dean Vaccaro came to his home and after some conversation, started behaving aggressively.
Albert said he repeatedly asked Dean to leave, but he continued his behavior and then broke a pint bottle and starting advancing. Albert then went into his home and returned with his licensed firearm, requesting several more times that Dean leave. He then said that Dean threatened to shoot up his house and the entire neighborhood, and that’s when he fired a single shot, hitting Dean in the shoulder.
Authorities were called and Dean was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment where he is listed as being in stable condition.
“What we have ascertained is that the argument was over some vehicle part that Dean feels he was owed,” Yearwood said.
Police investigations continue.
