But Commissioner of Police Chester Williams said he has some optimism that the interventions led by Police and private citizens including Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa will bear fruit with a truce.

But he is also wary after last night’s shooting incidents in which three men were injured, one of whom has since died. Police are in operation within the St. Martin’s area where the PIV and Back-a-land groups are in a war.
