Belize District reports 100 new COVID-19 cases

By Benjamin Flowers: Today, health authorities reported 283 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, 100 of which were from the Belize District.

The Belize District has been the leading district for newly reported cases with Belize City being the location reporting the most.

In the latest daily report, Belize City accounted for 82 of the total 100 cases reported in the district.

The Cayo district was next in line, representing 67 of the new cases reported today, with San Ignacio reporting 11 of those cases and Benque Viejo reporting 10, making them the two locations with the highest number of new cases.

The Toledo district followed with 44 new cases, Punta Gorda being the location with the most (7 cases).

Stann Creek had 35 new cases, 10 of which were from Hopkins, and Orange Walk 22 cases, 11 of which were from Orange Walk Town.

San Pedro and Corozal had the lowest number of cases, reporting 11 and four new cases respectively.
