116 new COVID-19 cases in Belize District alone

By BBN Staff: Of the 244 new cases of COVID-19 reported today, almost half of them came from the Belize District.

The Ministry of Health and Wellness reports that the Belize District represented 116 of the newly-reported cases, with 80 of them coming from Belize City alone.

The Cayo district was next in line, representing 39 of the new cases reported today, with Benque Viejo reporting 6 cases and Belmopan reporting 5.

Orange Walk followed close behind with 37 cases, 19 from Orange Walk Town.

The Toledo district followed with 23 new cases, with four cases each from Bella Vista, Criqe Juta, and San Pedro Colombia.

Stann Creek had 35 new cases, 10 of which were from Hopkins, and Orange Walk 22 cases, 11 of which were from Orange Walk Town.

San Pedro and Corozal remained the lowest with five and seven cases respectively.
