Belize’s first natural insect repellant now available in select locations

By BBN Staff: Not long ago, ‘Вug Оff’, the all-natural Belizean-made insect repellant was only available for purchase at the Black Orchid in Burrell Boom Village, Belize District, but now it is being offered at a number of locations making it more accessible for Belizeans and tourists alike.

The environmentally friendly repellant is now available at the gift shop at Ayinha Adventures in the Belize River Valley, Papa Gallo Giftshop at the Best Western Plus Biltmore Plaza, Belize City; and One World Gift Shop in Placencia.

Веvеrlу Dаwѕоn, who invented Bug Off, stressed that insect repellant is essential for enjoying many of the tours and trails available in Belize, but that many people cannot use it due to allergies or other adverse skin reactions. Dawson, the General Manager of Black Orchid Resort, explained that she faced the same problem and invented Bug Off initially as her own solution before deciding to make it available to others that share her plight with insect repellant.
