Trio shot on Kelly and Simon Lamb Streets in stable condition

By Aaron Humes: Two young men and a young woman were shot tonight in Belize City and are hospitalized in stable condition.

Twenty-five-year-old Kareem Young of Hunters Lane was walking on Kelly Street just before 6:30 when at the corner with Simon Lamb Street he was approached by a red car and a person got out and shot toward him, resulting in injury to the right upper thigh.

Walking behind him were 21-year-old Camryn Briceño of Fabers Road Extension and Emmanuel Westby of Guinea Grass, Orange Walk District who were also caught up in the gunfire. Westby was hit in the right thigh and Camryn in her left hand.

Police are investigating.
