Belize Audubon Society sites to be closed on Sundays

Posted: Friday, September 24, 2021. 9:50 am CST.

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Audubon Society (BAS) said all its sites will be closed during the next two Sundays.

“Due to the latest Statutory Instrument announced by the Government of Belize, all BAS sites will be closed on the mandated ‘no-movement days’ of Sunday 26th September and Sunday 3rd October,” said the BAS.

“In addition to this, all terrestrial sites will also be closing on the subsequent Mondays – Monday 27th September and Monday 4th October,” the BAS added.

“Both Half Moon Caye and the Blue Hole Natural Monument will remain open on these Mondays.”

The BAS said it apologized for any inconvenience this may cause and advised everyone to keep adhering to the COVID-19 precautions and stay safe when visiting their sites.
