Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Belize now at 19,600

By Benjamin Flowers; A total of 19,600 people have been infected with COVID-19 since the virus made its way to Belize last March, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The Ministry’s latest report said that there were 171 new cases reported today from a sample batch of 1,707 tests, which raised the national total to 19,600.

New cases were split between 93 females and 78 males, while the daily positivity rate stood at 10.1.

There were three new deaths associated with the virus.
