Government announces series of Diaspora Town Hall meetings in the U.S.

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations has announced a tour of the United States in the next few days.

It says it is a chance for Belizean diaspora members to engage in discussions with the Government’s Representatives: Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining; Anthony Mahler, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations; Henry Charles Usher, Minister of Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform; and Belize City Councillor Stephanne Hamilton, responsible for Tourism and Diaspora Relations.

The team will be at Bow’s Taste of Belize in Houston, Texas, on September 28 at 7 p.m. local (U.S.) time; Holiday Inn in Chicago, Illinois at 7 p.m. local time on September 30; Antun’s in Queens Village, New York City, New York at 10 a.m. local time Saturday morning, October 2; and at MiaCucina in Aventura, Florida at 3 p.m. local time Sunday, October 3.
