Man reportedly shot in Belize City

By BBN Staff: Breaking Belize News has received reports of a shooting that reportedly happened on Police Street tonight, however, authorities are having a difficult time establishing the exact location of the incident.

The victim has been identified, however, we are withholding the name until more details are confirmed. According to reports, the victim was shot to his left forearm and rushed to the hospital.

Police reportedly made attempts to communicate with the victim, however, it is reported ht may be under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

Several Belize City residents on Facebook have also reported hearing shots fired in the vicinity of Vernon Street near Mayflower Street
