By Benjamin Flowers: For the first time in over a week, the Belize District has reported less than 100 new cases of COVID-19 in a single day; however, it has still produced the highest amount of new cases per municipality, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
The total number of new cases reported today was 171, with the Belize District accounting for 75 of them.
Belize City continues to lead nationally in terms of new cases, representing 55 of the 75 cases coming out of the Belize District.
The Cayo district was next in line, representing 51 of the new cases reported today, with 9 cases Benque Viejo, 7 cases from San Ignacio, and 6 cases from Santa Elena.
The Stann Creek District followed with 22 cases with Silk Grass alone reporting 6 of them, making it the highest from a single village.
Orange Walk has 10 cases, Toledo had 8, San Pedro 3, and Corozal 2.
