By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Pharmacist Unit at the Ministry of Health and Wellness assisted with vaccinations at the Belmopan Civic Center on Friday to commemorate ‘World Pharmacists Day’ which is today.
“Today the International community and Belize celebrates World Pharmacists Day,” said the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) in a post on social media.
Pharmacists Day is being celebrated under the theme, “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health”.
“Pharmacists in the public setting have taken on additional roles and responsibilities during this COVID19 pandemic including the availability and timely distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) and vaccines countrywide,” said the MOHW.
The MOHW said they “acknowledge the hard work from all our pharmacists countrywide as they continue to ensure pharmaceutical services is kept at optimal levels for the people they serve”.
