Government of Belize to launch new online tax platform tomorrow

By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize has announced the launch of the new online platform for the Belize Tax Service (BTS), being held tomorrow.

The virtual launch of the OIRIS Belize Integrated Revenue Information System will begin at 10:00 a.m. and can be viewed on the Government of Belize Press Office Facebook page.

Sources within the BTS explain that the new system will see greater oversight of tax information including, digital logs of whoever has accessed the system and what information they viewed, increased tacking of account information, fling history, online fling, and improved online payment.

The new system will also feature direct email correspondence with a tax official for queries.
