MSN names Belize one of the best places to visit in December

In the article, titled “Best Places to Travel in December” MSN places Belize on the list alongside several destinations in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The article highlights Belize’s diverse environments, attractions, and names several luxury resorts to ensure that every kind of traveler finds something enticing.

“Belize is diverse, with a variety of distinctive environments. In the north, the ecosystem consists of jungles, rainforests, and lagoons. The central part of the country is home to waterfalls, caves, and dense jungle. Archaeological sites, ruins, and ancient temples remain from the Mayan Empire dating between 250 A.D. and 900 A.D. Diving and snorkeling are popular in Belize, where the world’s second-largest barrier reef, several coral atolls, and Great Blue Hole, a geological wonder, are found,” explained writer Patricia Doherty.

The positive mention on such a large international platform comes at a time where tourism stakeholders in Belize are working overtime trying to get the industry back to where it was before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down global travel last year. Belize thus far has seen some recovery with three cruise ship calls since June; however, the industry has a long way to go and every bit of international exposure, especially to the US which is the country’s largest tourism market, helps with the recovery efforts.
